Power BI Report Access - There are two different types of Power BI Reports available to MSUM faculty/staff.
One is maintained by the MSUM OIE/IT and the other is maintained by the MN State System Office. Access to the MN State System Office reports are provisioned and maintained by SO IT staff and MSUM IT/OIE staff are unable to address any issues.
Not able to access Power BI Report
Confirm the following prior to submitting a Help Desk ticket:
- Is the Power BI report you are trying to access owned by MSUM or the System Office?
- System Office (SO) report system will have the MN State logo at the top.
- If System Office - a ticket can be submitted through https://servicedesk.minnstate.edu/
- If the report was created by MSUM OIE, confirm you are on the University network system.
- Either connected through a docking station or the University MN State User Tunnel if connecting on wi-fi
- Determine your StarID password is current and not expired.
- Take a screenshot of the error message you receive when being denied access. The error message enables the Help Desk individual to track down the issue faster.
