Minitab is a statistical software used by multiple education programs at MSU Moorhead. Analyze your data and improve your products and services with the leading statistical software used for quality improvement worldwide.
Minitab Software is hosted in the cloud, so there is no need to install anything.
- To access Minitab, open a web browser and navigate to https://app.minitab.com, you will be prompted to sign-in with your MSUM email address.
- Enter your login user name as follows:
- If presented with a choice, select MSUM SSO or follow through with the password or multi-factor authentication process as needed.
- If you are having trouble signing in, please review the detailed instructions in the How-to Access Minitab Cloud Version PDF document.

When you have first been granted a Minitab license you will receive an email to your MSUM email address.

To access the web version of Minitab, browse to https://app.minitab.com from the above email.

Students should login with their starid@go.minnstate.edu account whereas faculty will login with starid@minnstate.edu. Then click Next.

Re‐enter the same login in the Microsoft Multifactor login prompt and click Next.

When you first access Minitab from the web you may need to scroll through the software license agreement.

If prompted, Check the box near I accept the terms in the Subscription Agreement and acknowledge the Privacy Policy, then click Accept.

Once accepted, you will be given the choice to Download the Desktop App (windows only) or Open the WebApp. For this example, we will select Open the Web App so click Open the Web app.

You will be brought to the Minitab web interface as shown to the right:
Saving work in Minitab web app
The web version allows you to save to Microsoft OneDrive or Google Drive by selecting File > Save As.
