After Hours Computer Problems

If you have a major computer problem in the evening or on weekends, you can report the problem to Public Safety. Public Safety will notify the Information Technology staff of the computer problem. Public Safety will ask for your name, phone number, location of the problem and general description of the problem.

Examples of MAJOR computer problems that should be reported to Public Safety are:

  1. A computer server appears to be down.
  2. A web server appears to be down.
  3. eServices is down.
  4. Email is not working.
  5. MnPALS is not working.

In other words, only report problems to Public Safety which have a serious impact on University work.

Computer problems that do not have a serious impact on University work should be reported to Help Desk They will be addressed on the following business day.
