Manage Your List
Login using your StarID username and password. Log in to the List Serve.
Filter the Role by Owner and then click on your desired list. There will be various clickable items spanned across the screen. Some of these include “Subscription Requests”, “Held Messages”, “Users”, “Settings”, and “Mass Operations”.
Subscribe a Member
Login using your StarID username and password. Log in to the List Serve
Filter the Role by Owner and click on your desired list. Click on “Mass Operations” and then in the dropdown menu, click on “Mass Subscribe”. Enter email addresses in a one per line format. Leave the checkboxes to their default values and verify if you want to send your new members welcome messages or not. Click “Subscribe Users”.
Send a Message
- Compose the email message in your email program.
- Send the message to the list. For example: listname@lists.mnstate.edu
Unsubscribe a Member
Login using your StarID username and password. Log in to the List Serve
Filter the Role by Owner and click on your desired list. Click on “Users” and then in the dropdown, click on “Members”. Search for them by their email address. Click the checkbox to the left of their email address, then click on the yellow “Unsubscribe Selected” button.
Allow Members to Self-Subscribe or Unsubscribe
All members with MSUM email addresses have the ability to login using their starID and unsubscribe from non-mandatory lists. Lists like student_official or various major lists are mandatory, and if a member unsubscribes from them, they will simply be subscribed back the next night.
Request Removal of Your List
As an owner, if you no longer need the mailing list, you can login to the system and select the “Delete” option, located all the way to the right of the screen after selecting a list.
