Windows computers:
Windows computers will sometimes continue to get an error related to licensing. If this happens, please try the following:
	- Read the error, if it displays a user name such as 'yourstarid'@minnstate.edu (employees and student workers) or 'yourstarid'@go.mminnstate.edu (students) is not licensed to use this product, this means you entered the wrong user name sign in format. Go through the steps outlined above in the "Log in Issues" section.
- If the error is prompting you to enter in a registration number, go to your Windows start menu, search for and run the "Software Center" application. Look for the application named "Adobe Registry Fix". Then go through the steps outlined above in the "Log in Issues" section.
Mac computers:
If you are signing in properly as noted above in the "Log in Issues" section and you are getting application or loading errors then we will need to look at it closer with you at the help desk. If older versions of the application are installed, problems can arise when new versions are installed beside it. For example, if you have Adobe Photoshop version 2020 and install Adobe Illustrator 2022, it can cause issues.

Issue: In MSUM Computer Labs users cannot launch Adobe Tutorials from Web Browser
Example:
https://creativecloud.adobe.com/cc/learn/illustrator/in-app/make-and-refine-the- project?locale=en
Users can notice some of the following behaviors when clicking “Begin Tutorial in Illustrator” (or other adobe product):
	-
	Prompted for Admin Login.
-
Brought to download page for the product the tutorial covers.
-
The link does nothing at all.
Cause
The problem is due to the way Adobe Shared Device License works. The web tutorials will automatically try to validate the users license on their Adobe account. Most students at MSUM will not have a Creative Cloud license assigned, so this will fail. Installing, updating, and managing adobe applications is also restricted in labs, as well as faculty and staff computers.
Work Around
All the web tutorials can be access withing the Adobe application.
	-
In the adobe app of your choice, click Learn:

	-
	Click the discover tile:

	-
Search for, and select the desired Tutorial

	-
	Click Start Tutorial to begin:
